See what students have to say:

My husband and I had a wonderful home birth on Feb 11 and had a son that morning. We recently went for our last post-partum visit with Evelyn Muhllhan.  Sue, Evelyn's assistant who was also at our birth, mentioned that many of their recent first time moms had been part of your class and all had confident, gentle, and remarkable uncomplicated first births.  This is a huge compliment to you and your class. Thanks, Heather, for helping to give us the confidence needed for our special birth. We wouldn't trade it for anything!

Even the hospital staff noticed my focus, my intentional breathing, my dedication to patiently awaiting the experience that my body was made for.  This was also the point when your lessons and guidance were helping me guide my body through the increasing sensations and changes.  There were distinct points where I doubted my ability to carry out the labor without anesthesia.  But with calm words and touch from my husband, I was reminded of my strength and was able to calm myself and return to a position of strength.  I've never been so proud of anything I have done and I can say that I would not have made it through the birth without the confidence and power of my breath and spirit.  These I owe in large part to your class.  The breathing techniques, the mantras, the meditations and the music were all there with me, helping me to fulfill my goal of a natural birth.  I will be forever grateful to you for sharing your gift with me.

Just wanted to let you know that Serena was born Wednesday at 3pm (8lbs 10.8oz). I wanted to thank you for all of your help and information. For my part the classes helped a lot as I was prepared for each stage and was able to enjoy the birth and birth process without fear. I think I did well as a partner, but Michelle was wonderful. She actually looked like she could have done it without me minus the driving. There was one funny thing during labor I wanted to share with you. After all the careful construction of mantras and elaborate focus words, during labor the only thing Michelle kept repeating was "OK". I of course knew not to change anything so we became a chorus of breath and OK, OK, OK.
